Our Building Process
Initial Consultation
We begin with a structured discovery call to understand your vision, priorities, budget expectations, and timeframe. Following this, we provide a short pre-consultation questionnaire. This ensures our first meeting is efficient, focused, and aligned with your goals.
Site Visit & Project Discussion
We meet with you onsite whether at your home or vacant land — to walk through your ideas in details. During this visit we: discuss design intent and functionality, assess site conditions, identify potential constraints or opportunities, clarify scope and expectations. This stage lays the foundation for accurate pricing and practical planning.
Detailed Site Measure & Consultation
A second site visit allows us to, take precise measurements, introduce key subcontractors where required, review technical considerations. This collaborative approach ensures all trades understand the project scope early, reducing risk and ensuring accurate costings.
Transparent & Detailed Quoting
We provide a comprehensive, clearly itemised quote broken into logical construction stages. Where applicable, Prime Cost and Provisional Sum allowances are clearly identified, so you understand exactly where your investment is allocated. Transparency at this stage eliminates uncertainty and builds confidence before construction begins.
Contract Agreement
We meet with you to review the quotation and building contract in detail. This is your opportunity to refine selections, adjust scope where required, clarify timelines and ask questions. Once all details are agreed upon, we finalise documentation and confirm a construction start date. Our objective is simple — you move forward feeling informed, confident, and excited.
Project Commencement
Before construction begins, we ensure:
- Site preparation is completed.
- Health & safety systems are in place.
- Council and compliance requirements are confirmed.
- Materials and scheduling are aligned.
- From day one, organisation and communication are prioritised.
Construction & Quality Assurance
Throughout construction, we maintain structured communication, including:
- Weekly site updates.
- Fortnightly onsite meetings.
- Variation discussions documented and approved.
- Open access to your project manager.
- Our internal quality assurance checklist is followed at every stage of construction to ensure workmanship meets or exceeds NZ Building Code standards and industry best practice.
- We do not compromise on detail.
Completion & Handover
Upon completion, we engage professional cleaners to prepare your home for handover.
We provide:
- Code Compliance documentation
- Producer Statements (where applicable)
- Warranties and manuals
- A structured handover walkthrough
- We also conduct post-completion follow-ups to ensure everything continues to perform exactly as intended.
- Our relationship does not end at handover.
